Heartfelt currently has limited photographers to provide Heartfelt sessions. Please check with your area representative in Australia or New Zealand.
*With Melbourne in Stage 4 restrictions from 6 August, we have been directed to stop services in the Melbourne Metro area.
Heartfelt's commitment to giving the gift of photographic memories will never change.
For Melbourne, we have 3 photographers who midwives/nurses/carers can call for support when taking photos of their families in their care.
Julieanne Perara - 0404 054 200
Adrienne Myszka - 0439 881 007
Gavin Blue - 0419 889 877
We have created a downloadable photographic tips sheet for hospital staff (and parents) to help them take better photos, and a form with instructions on how to send the photos to Heartfelt for processing.
We can provide Heartfelt Photographers to process the images and families will receive their images in our beautiful Heartfelt packs.
To date we have:
We will, wherever possible, continue this service while we can continue to do so in a safe and responsible manner, based on medical advice.
As you can imagine we have a considerably reduced pool of members available for shoots and so we request your patience and understanding if we are unable to provide a photographer to a session request.
Please call 1800 583 768, which will divert to the most appropriate area representative who will manage your request. Please remember that all photographers and area coordinators operate in a volunteer capacity.
Processing requests
Where we cannot provide a photographer on site, we are offering to process photographs that are taken by the family or medical staff.
We have prepared a reference document containing tips about taking easy but beautiful shots of the family and baby. You can access this guide here.
Please contact the area representative for your particular state/area (contact details listed below) on how to send through photographs for processing. We can offer to process up to 30 images, and will provide you with access to a private, online gallery with the processed images as well as a package containing 20 prints and a USB of the digital images.
We have an instruction sheet on how to send photos that the staff or family have taken. You can access the sheet here.
Note: It is important that the photographs you take are at the highest possible size/resolution and are sent at the largest size possible.
Retouching requests
If you have images you or the hospital staff have taken, and your baby needs retouching due to skin damage etc, we have talented retouchers who can work with an image to create a memory. The process takes several weeks, but please contact our retouching manager. Ideally choose two or three of your favourite images and send them to us in the highest resolution possible. This service is also free.
Please contact our retouching coordinator at retouching@heartfelt.org.au to arrange for this service.
